Happy New Year and welcome to another full year of golf fun and excitement! I am honored and proud to be your 2012 Captain. But before we move forward, we must express our heartfelt thanks to Marilyn Porges for an outstanding job as our 2011 Captain. She made it look so easy with her dedication, grace, and poise and we appreciate everything she did to lead our group so beautifully this past year. Job well done my friend and I am so happy to have you on the board as Parliamentarian. We have already begun the journey for 2012 with the WGANC Annual Meeting that was held on Dec 5th at Castlewood CC. I attended along with Nancy Taylor and there were 68 clubs represented. The big news was that WGANC has adopted a new slogan “Bringing Women and Golf Together Since 1907”. That is 105 years…way to go ladies!
